
Photo Group Schedule - May 30th
Members
Bring Camera – Documentations, Leads & Charged Batteries. Card Reader and memory sticks if members wish.
Those with Laptops can also bring them with either a fully charged battery or power lead.
Preparation:
1. Know how to turn the camera on & Off and change to the View Mode
2. Mark the pages in the Documentation for
i)Picture Quality (Marked as either Pixels or Size)
ii)Erase /Delete photos
iii)Format the Memory Card
3. Photos taken using different Functions (10) as previously circulated
Software and Notes Required for Sessions
CD´s will be available for all the software we will use. This will include the latest version of Picasa as many of you will need to upgrade to use the features during the Tutorial. (Version Number – Click Help-About Picasa should be Version 2.7.0 (Build36.40.0))
The CD will also contain Photostory to produce a slideshow and the software to create and burn an SVCD or DVD
All Installation Notes and Tips will be on the CD, including some basic video tutorials.
First Session (May 30th) will cover, a little about cameras, resolution and pixels explained plus some tips on taking better photos.
We will then move onto downloading your photos to the computer and using Picasa carry out minor edits.
Samples on how best to improve your camera technique will be demonstrated as well as how you can correct these faults afterwards.
Hopefully we will get the opportunity to look at other options within Picasa
For laptop users Angela & Jeffrey will be on hand to help you install the software correctly and download your photos .
